The Alumni Association hosts an annual Domestic Violence Symposium that brings advocates together to raise awareness and support survivors. Founded by Dr. Toya Garnes (’08) in partnership with Stephanie Cooper, the event has also welcomed members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Xi Mu Zeta Graduate Chapter (Markham, IL). Building on this history of collaboration, this year’s symposium partners with Bonnerville Event Solutions, led by Stephanie Cooper, whose parents, Roberta and Larry Bonner, were both GovState alumni and employees.

Schedule of Events

10:00 a.m. - Area open for vendor set up
11:30 a.m. - Check in & Resource Fair
12:00 p.m. - Presentations
3:00 p.m. - Resource Fair cont.
3:30 p.m. - Testimonials
4:30 p.m. - Program concludes
